Shell (sh): [(3 hdc-cl, ch 2) twice, 3 hdc-cl] in st indicated.
Ch a multiple of 8 sts plus 2.
Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hk, *sk 3 ch, sh in next ch, ch
1, sk 3 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in 1st sc, *ch 2, sk 1 hdc-cl, sc
in next hdc-cl, ch 2, 3 dc in next sc; rep from * across to last
sc, 2 dc in last sc, turn.
Row 3: Ch 2, [hdc, ch 2, 3 hdc-cl] in 1st dc, ch 1, *sc in next
sc, sk 1 dc, sh in next dc, ch 1; rep from * to last sc, sc in last

of hdctog just made and pull up a lp, yo, insert hk around post of
hdctog just made and pull up a lp, yo, insert hk into prev sc and
pull up a lp, [yo, insert hk into next sc and pull up a lp] twice, yo,
pull through all lps on hk.
Ch an even number of sts.
Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hk and ea ch across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, hdc5tog over [2nd ch, 3rd ch, next 3 sc], *ch 1, hdc-
5tog; rep from * across to end, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, *sc in hdctog, sc in ch-1 sp; rep from * across to t-ch,
