This stitch pattern is great on its own or layered on top of a
solid fabric.

Trefoil: [Sc, ch 3, sc, ch 5, sc, ch 3, sc] all in ch-sp indicated.

Ch a multiple of 7 sts plus 3.

Row 1 (WS): Sc in 2nd ch from hk, ch 2, sk 2 ch, sc in next
ch, ch 3, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch, *ch 4, sk 4 ch, sc in next ch,
ch 3, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch; rep from * across to last 3 ch, ch
2, sk 2 ch, sc in last ch, turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in 1st st, ch 2, *trefoil in next ch-3 sp, ch 4,
sk ch-4 sp; rep from * to last ch-3 sp, trefoil in last ch-3 sp,
ch 2, sk ch-sp, sc in last sc, turn.

Row 3: Ch 6 (counts as tr, ch-2 sp), *sk ch-3 sp, [sc, ch 3, sc]
in next ch-5 sp, ch 4, sk next 2 ch-sp; rep from * across to last
ch-5 sp, [sc, ch 3, sc] in last ch-5 sp, ch 2, sk last ch-sps, tr in

Trefoil Lattice


Alternating v-stitches with trefoils, this fabric mimics a lattice with
blooming flowers hanging on it.

V-Stitch (v-st): [Dc, ch 1, dc] in st indicated.

Trefoil: [Ch 3, (sc, ch 4) 3 times, sc, ch 3] in st indicated.

Ch a multiple of 10 sts plus 5.

Row 1 (RS): Dc in 5th ch from hk, *sk 4 ch, trefoil in next ch, sk 4
ch, v-st in next ch; rep from * across, turn.

Row 2: Ch 5 (counts as dc, ch-2 sp), [sc, ch 4, sc, ch 3] in ch-1 sp,
sk next ch-4 sp, *v-st in next ch-4 sp, trefoil in next ch-1 sp, sk
next ch-4 sp; rep from * across to last trefoil, v-st in next ch-4 sp,
