Diamond Lattice
This stitch pattern makes a simple fabric even though the
stitch diagram looks complex.
Double Crochet Treble Together (dctrtog): Yo, insert hk
into st indicated, pull up lp, yo, pull through 2 lps on hk,
yo twice, insert hk into st indicated, pull up lp, yo, pull
through 2 lps on hk twice, yo, pull through rem lps on hk.
Ch a multiple of 4 sts plus 2.
Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hk, ch 2, dc2tog in same
ch and ch 4 ch away (sk 3 ch), ch 2, sc in same ch as
dc2tog; rep from across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as tr), dc in next dc2tog, ch 2, sc
around prev dc2tog, ch 2, dc2tog in prev and next
dc2tog, ch 2, sc around same dc2tog; rep from across to
last dc2tog, ch 2, dctrtog in prev dc2tog and sc, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in dctrtog, ch 2, dc2tog in prev st and
next dc2tog, ch 2, sc around dc2tog; rep from across,
ending sc in dctrtog, turn.
Rep rows 2 and 3 to desired length ending with row 2.
Last row: Ch 1, sc in dctrtog, ch 3, sc in next dc2tog; rep
from across to end, sc in dctrtog. Fasten off.
