The front post stitches in this pattern make the wave stand
out and say “hi.” Use it wherever you need a dramatic
statement.
Ch a multiple of 14 sts plus 5.
Row 1 (RS): Dc in 4th ch from hk (sk 3 ch counts as 1 dc),
[sk next ch, dc in next ch] twice, dc in next ch, 2 dc in
next ch, 3 dc in next ch, 2 dc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch,
[sk 1 ch, dc in next ch] twice; rep from across, dc in last
ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in ea dc across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc in next dc, [sk 1 sc, dc in
next sc] twice, dc in next sc, 2 dc in next sc, 3 dc in next
sc, 2 dc in next sc, dc in next 2 sc, [sk 1 sc, dc in next sc]
twice; rep from across, dc in last sc, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in 1st dc, FPsc around ea dc across to t-ch,
sc in top of t-ch, turn.
Rows 5–10: Rep rows 3 and 4 three times.
Row 11: Ch 4 (counts as 1 tr), tr in ea sc across, turn.
