How to make the pom-pom necklace

2

Wrap grey wool around the felt, so it is
completely coveredandevenlybound.
Bend into a curve, then thread a felt ball onto
each end of the wire. Use round-nosed pliers to
make rounded ends; cut away the excess wire.

1

Cut a piece of light grey felt measuring
6 x 15cm( 2 ¼x3¾in). Run a line of hot
glue along the felt and place a 25cm (9¾in)
length of silver jewellery wire in the middle. Roll
the felt tightly around the wire, gluing as you go.

3

Arrange the felt balls around the
centrepiece to decide on a design. Thread
wool through the central felt ball, then sew up
through the centrepiece to attach it in place.

4

Repeat step three to attach the remaining
felt balls to the centrepiece. You may find
it easiest to work from the middle outwards to
make sure that all the balls are evenly spaced.

5

After attaching the felt balls, wrap the
wool along the length of the centrepiece,
threading through and back up both centrepiece
and felt ball to secure the felt balls firmly.

6

Cut the silver chain in half; measure it to
make sure you get a precise cut otherwise
you'll end up with a wonky necklace. Attach half
to either side of the centrepiece, to finish.
