A SPECIAL MENTION TO

Hannah Read-Baldrey is an author, stylist

and presenter. Best known for co-writing

the book,Everything Alice, she has just

released her own title,Girls Night In. After

just having baby Teddy, she is now back

to work as a magazine stylist for brands

such as Hobbycraft. Most recently, she has

launched her own channel, hrb-tv.com.

Jacqueline Ramsey first learnt to sew on

her mother’s knee aged four. She has

come a long way since then, forging

a career in textile restoration and

specialising in embroidery. She now

juggles freelance feature writing with

sewing workshops where she passes on

her stitching smarts.“Everyone should

know how to sew on a button,” she says.

Jess has been baking for as long as she

can remember, but has taken her hobby

more seriously since she was approached

to make a friend’s wedding cake a few

years ago. The main thing that drives her

cooking is a desire to share, preferring

large, homely bakes that can be “divvied

out with a big old serving spoon and that

brings people together around the table”.
