crafting,blogging andknitting nights in...

How long have you been crafting?
JRI’ve been making things for as long
asIcanremember.WheneverIwanted
something as a child, I would make it

Joannadescribes
her crafting style as
‘cuteness overload’

Joanna’s stepby step

first-time crafters

myself using lots of imagination and glitter
glue instead of begging my parents for it.
My crafting addiction tookoff from there.

Who, if anyone, taught you to craft?
JRThe women in my family have taught
me most ofmy crafting skills. My nana
taught me to knit, my Grandma Jean to
quilt, my mother to cross-stitchand my
aunty to machine sew. I feel privileged to
have such wisdom at myfingertips.

How would you describe your crafting
style and your blog look?
JRCuteness overload. Brightlycoloured, a
little quirky and covered in buttons!

Which isyour favourite craft?
JRI feel compelled to say knitting, but in
all honesty, it’sbeenawhile since I picked
up my needles to complete a proper
project. I’m interestedinlots ofcraftsbut
currently, I’m on an embroidery kick and
Ihave to say, Ilove it!

How doyou keepyourself motivated
when a project isn’t going to plan?
JRI tendto soldier on as I’ve managedto
transform most craft projects I’ve messed
up into something else. Ifnot, I put it
down to experience and think, ‘what can
I learn from this?’ as I detangle a knot of
yarn that was meant to be a sock.
