Ravens (-7) over PATRIOTS:
Few propositions are more chance-
wrought in this league than dealing
with clearly superior road favorites
at marked-up prices. Here we go,
again. Lean toward this sound favor-
ite with strong, proven abilities to
finish teams off in second halves.

MONDAY
BEARS (+2.5) over Vikings:
Bears offensive coordinator Bill La-
zor will call Chicago’s plays. Minne-
sota has a pronounced, flawed his-
tory of failures in this Monday night
setting — especially when you con-
sider the Soldier Field hosts actually
opened as the favorites in this prime-
time feature. Not eager to embrace
the Vikings when the Bears are such
stout defenders and have so very
much to prove.
LAST WEEK: 6-7. SEASON: 62-
58-5

He POST’S Big Game of
Week 10 features two angry
teams playing against each
other Sunday with respective
scores to settle. It, too, is one of
only two games on the NFL
schedule this weekend pitting
two teams with winning records
against each other.
The 6-2 Seahawks are coming
off last week’s sloppy, 44-33 loss
to the Bills. The 5-3 Rams are
coming off a 28-17 loss to the
Dolphins and, with last week
their bye, they’ve had to stew on
it for an extra week.
“You’ve got that disappointing
feeling of not accomplishing
what we felt like we were sup-
posed to,” Rams coach Sean
McVay said before the bye. “Un-
fortunately, you’ve got to kind of
sit on this a little bit longer than
what you’d like, but you can’t al-
low it to linger too long.”
The Rams, with a win Sunday,
would move into a tie with the
Seahawks for first place in the
NFC West.
With the Seahawks, Cardinals
(5-3) and 49ers (4-5) all losing
last week, it turned out to be a
pretty productive bye week.
“It was a pretty solid bye week,’’
Rams receiver
Cooper Kupp said.
“They did us some
favors there.”
Four of the six
games between the
Rams and the Sea-
hawks since McVay
started coaching
L.A. have been de-
cided by six or
fewer points.
“We’re good,” Rams receiver
Robert Woods told reporters.
“We’re not great.”
Where the Rams are best,
though, is on defense — allowing
an average of 19 points per game,
which ranks third in the league.
The Rams are yielding an aver-

age of 94.8 rushing yards per
game (fourth in the league) and
197.1 passing yards
per game (second
in the league).
They’ll need it
against Seahawks
quarterback Rus-
sell Wilson —
who’s probably the
leading candidate
for league MVP
this season, having
thrown for 2,541
yards and 28 touchdowns. That
projects to 5,082 yards and 56
TDs by the end of the year
Wilson is coming off complet-
ing 28 of 41 for 390 yards with two
TDs and two INTs in last week’s
loss. He also lost two fumbles.
Seattle’s DK Metcalf (seven

catches for 108 yards and a TD last
week) is one of the most dynamic
players in the game right now.
On the other side of the ball,
Rams quarterback Jared Goff may
have a chance to fatten his stats
against a Seattle defense that has
struggled, ranked last in the NFL.
The Seahawks have allowed more
passing yards through eight games
than any team in NFL history.
“I don’t think any of us had
thought at this point that we’d be
playing like we are,’’ Seahawks
defensive coordinator Ken Nor-
ton Jr. told reporters during the
week. “The numbers aren’t no-
where [near] where we expect it
to be. Some things are going well
but a lot of things aren’t.’’
The Rams have won four of the
past six meetings against Seattle,

yet Goff has thrown eight INTs
and lost four fumbles in his eight
career games against the rivals.
The Seahawks defense —
which has allowed 243 points,
the most in the division —
should be helped by safety Jamal
Adams, who returned to the
lineup last week after missing
four games with a groin injury,
and by Pro Bowl defensive end
Carlos Dunlap, who was ac-
quired in a trade with the Ben-
gals on Oct. 28 and had a sack
and two quarterback hits in his
Seahawks debut last week.
Seattle coach Pete Carroll also
said there’s a “really good
chance” former All-Pro defensive
tackle Damon Harrison will make
his Seahawks debut Sunday.
“I’m counting on it,” Carroll said.
