watchOS 6 will also allow the Apple Watch
to stream audio without having your iPhone
nearby, and the new software will even keep
an eye on the health of your hearing. watchOS
6 will warn you if the decibels around you
are becoming detrimental to your long-term
hearing – but will not record anything it hears, in
order to protect your personal privacy.
Within the health app, watchOS 6 will introduce
‘Activity Trends’, showing you how your historic
fitness data compares over time. If your activity
levels, which are measured over 90 days, begin
to fall, you will receive advice from the Apple
Watch face on how to improve them, in line with
your historic data. Another new feature, ‘Cycle
Tracking’, helps women to track their menstrual
cycle, receiving information on when their
fertility windows are about to begin or a period
is due to start.
