Sideritis scardica Griseb.
Perennial plant with vivid yellow
petals. It grows wild up to 40 cm in
the subalpine rocky zone of Mount
Olympus, Mount Kisavos, Mount
Pelion and Mount Kaimaktsalan.

Use: Medicinal, Bee friendly plant.

Mountain Tea
“Parnasos”
Sideritis raeseri Boiss & Heldr.
Perennial plant.
It grows up to 40-50 cm. The calyx is white-green, ends in tines and
the flower petals are yellow. It grows wild on Mount Parnassus,
Mount Timfristos (Velouchi) and on other mountains of Aetolia,
Dorida and Phthiotis. It is also known as Tea from Velouchi.

Use: Medicinal, Bee friendly plant.

Cretan Mountain Tea
“Malotira”
Sideritis syriaca L.
Perennial plant. It grows up to 50 cm.
Its flower petals are yellow and it grows wild on the
mountains of Crete. It is also known
in Crete Kalokoimithia.

Sideritis clandestina Chaub & Borry.
Perennial plant. It grows up to 40 cm.
Its flower petals are yellow and it grows wild on the subalpine
and alpine zones of Malevo, Mount Taygetus, Parnon and
Mount Kyllini.
