CUP OF TEA
Repurpose a coff ee mug tree to
keep scissors and rotary cutters
close at hand. The vertical holder
means less wasted table space.

RIGHT OFF THE BAT
To increase the length of your batting when quilting on a long-
arm machine, overlap two batting pieces and cut a wavy line
through both. Toss the excess batting, align the curved edges,
and continue quilting. Dense quilting will hold the cut edges in
place. Lightly quilted projects will benefi t from spray adhesive.

STOP THE SLIP
I use duct tape to secure
the top of my strip ruler
to my cutting mat. No
more slipping! I just lift
up the bottom of the
ruler to remove the cut
fabric and place the next
piece to be cut.

BUTTONED UP
Use buttons to keep earrings organized while traveling. After slipping the wires

READY TO ROLL
Organize rolls of interfacing and fusibles by cutting an empty
cardboard gift wrap tube into 6"-long sections. Slide a roll inside each
shortened tube and mark on the outside what’s inside.
