JB: Of all that you’ve designed, which is your
favorite fabric line or quilt pattern?
CR: My favorite pattern is probably Swoon.
It changed everything for my small pattern
company, Thimble Blossoms, and I have loved
every version I’ve seen. I’ve personally made it
many times and in many variations, and I never
get tired of it. As far as fabric goes, whatever
collection is our most recent is usually my
favorite. As of today, that would mean Little
Snippets is my favorite collection.


JB: What do you love most about being part of
the quilting community?
CR: I love it all! I love creating. I love the process
of seeing something that exists only in my
imagination come to life. I love the sense of
community that quilters enjoy. I have met some
of my dearest friends through quilting, and they
add so much to my life on a daily basis. I love that
quilting fulfills my need to create something.
And well, I just love fabric. Is there anything
better than fabric?


JB: Speaking of fabric, how would you
describe your style?
CR: Modern vintage is the term I often use for
my quilting and fabric style. My projects always
reflect some traditional roots, but I try to give
