allowances. Sew with right sides
together unless otherwise stated.
Press seams in directions indicated
by arrows on diagrams. If no direction
is specified, press seam toward darker
fabric.
Designer Candy Hargrove prefers
to make Flying Geese units and
triangle-squares larger than necessary,
then trim them to size. To use this
method for Flying Geese units, cut
medium or dark print 4^1 ⁄ 2 " squares
instead of the 4^1 ⁄ 4 " squares specified
here and light print 2^1 ⁄ 2 " squares
instead of 2^3 ⁄ 8 " squares.

For triangle-squares, cut light
print 4" squares instead of the 3^7 ⁄ 8 "
squares specified here and dark print
4" squares instead of 3^7 ⁄ 8 " squares.
The following instructions result
in one Block A. Repeat cutting
and assembly steps to make nine
A blocks total.

From assorted medium and dark
prints, cut:
▫ 6—2 ×16" strips
From one medium or dark print, cut:
▫ 3—4^1 ⁄ 4 " squares
From one dark print, cut:
▫ 2—3^7 ⁄ 8 " squares
From one light print, cut:
