How you’re making a difference
Shirley Biehl, owner of Shirley’s Sewing Stuff in Dale, Indiana, fi lls the
slower times at her shop by donating her time and talents to making
things for others. She has made quilts and pillowcases for a homeless
shelter and for a family that was getting a new home but had no
belongings. Over time, word got around about her eff orts and now
Shirley is receiving fabric donations and volunteers to help her with the
assembly. She says she hopes to live to be 113 years old so she can help
people who are in need for years to come.
