TheUniversityofGeorgiaannouncesatenure-trackfacultypositionatthelevelofAssistantorAssociateProfessorwithteachingandresearchresponsibilities
intheCenterforMolecularMedicine(CMM)(http://cmm.uga.edu).TheCMMisdedicatedtobetterunderstandingthemolecularand cellularbasisofhuman
diseaseandwherepossible,tousebasicdiscoveryfortheadvancementoftherapeutic development.Toadvancethismission,weareseekingapplicationsfrom
outstandinginvestigators.

Candidateswithinterestsinthefollowingareasareencouragedtoapply:


  • regenerativemedicineandtissuerepair

  • stemcellsandorganoidmodelsforhumandiseaseand development

  • molecularand cellularbasisofcancer,includingcancerstemcells

  • metabolicdiseaseandmetabolicregulationinhumandisease


AllapplicantsmusthaveaPh.D.degreeinarelevantdiscipline.ApplicantsattheAssistantlevelmusthaveatleasttwoyears relevantpostdoctoralresearch
experienceaswellasapublication recordandaresearchplancommensuratewithrank.

ApplicantsattheAssociatelevelshouldprovide documentation ofanestablished,well-fundedandimpactfulresearchprogram.

Anattractivestart-uppackagewith highlycompetitiveconditions ofemploymentwillbeoffered.LaboratoryspacewillbelocatedinthenewCenterfor
Molecular Medicine Building on Riverbend Road, adjacent tothe Center for Complex Carbohydrate Research. The Center benefits from strong interactions with
UGAresearchersattheCenterforDrugDiscovery,DevelopmentalBiologyAlliance,CCRCaswellasacademic departments oncampus.
