TO MAKE UP
Steam block the Shrug, lay it on a blocking
board and pin it to shape to measurements. Set
a household iron to the highest temperature
and maximum steam, hover it about 2cm from
the Shrug and steam the Shrug without
touching it with the iron. Leave to dry for
approx 30 minutes.
Fold the Shrug in half lengthways.
To form sleeves, join from the open corner for 5
blocks along the shorter edge, then repeat on
the opposite side. Refer to the schematic on
page 24.

NOTES
The Foot and Leg are constructed first with
the WS facing. Then turn the Sock RS facing
before adding the Toe, Heel and Cuff.
The Spots are worked as a 3-tr cluster in Yellow
with the first and last loop worked in Rose Pink
(see Abbreviations). Carry unused colours
across the WS of your work.
Parts of the Sock are worked in a continuous
spiral without closing off each round with a ss.
You may find it helpful to mark the first st of
the round, moving the marker up as you work.
