CrochetNiteintheshop,from8-10.30pm.It’s
likea littleparty.There’salwayswineand
cake,anda fun,welcomingatmosphere.We
havelotsofgreatvisitingteachers,trunk
showsandget-togethersscattered
throughout the year too.”
KEEPINGBUSY
Milli’sdeterminationtogettheshopopened
inAugustlastyearsawherovercomemany
pitfallsalongtheway.“Theleaseontheshop
spacedidn’tgetfinaliseduntiltwoweeks
beforeopeningday,soit wasa madrushto
getthespaceready,”sherecalls.“Thehardest
partnowis nevergettinganytimeoff.I knew
thatthisis howit wouldbefora baby
businessandnewbrand,buttheoverwhelm
is real.”Milliworkssevendaysa week,usually
for12-hour-longdays.“It’sveryhardwork.
ButI reallyenjoythatI’mdoingsomethingso
meaningfulandmakinga differencetoso
manypeople’sdailylives.I alsoreallyloved
thecreativeaspectsofsettingupa shop
spaceandchoosingallmyfavouritethingsto
putontheshelves.Andwegettomeet so
manylovelypeopleeveryday!”
