FAQs

What should I do to help my kiddos get better at solving word
problems?
Solve word problems. Daily, weekly, monthly. I’m serious. There is no
magic bullet to teaching students how to solve word problems. It is
consistency—which means over time, throughout the year. The emphasis
has to be on the practice and process of solving problems rather than on
getting the answer. The answer is necessary but not sufficient. We live in
a world where students are expected to think about, solve and commu-
nicate with each other about different problems.
