I know this is a long list and some
establishments will be more compliant than
others. So how do we improve our eco-
status? As the old African saying goes:
“How do you eat an elephant?
Bit by bit.”
Very few can comply with all of the above,
but if you want to call yourself
eco, you have to institute the significant
parts of the programme.

Conclusion
The consensus of experts confirms that
the “new tourists” have a higher level of
environmental and cultural expectation.
They want to be involved and want a
say in the products they consume.
