ThePanelwillserveasanAdvisoryCommittee
toreviewtheexistingpolicies,legislations
andpracticesrelatedtothemanagement,
breeding,hunting,tradeandhandlingof
elephant,lion,leopardandrhinoceros.
Webelievethetwogentlemenwillmake
extremely valuableandinnovativecontributionstothehigh-level
panel, basedontheirexperienceandunderstandingofthewildlife
industry and economyandweawaittheoutcomeoftheappointment
of the Panel.
On a nationallevel,WRSAattendedtheLandReformColloquium,
which was heldon 22 & 23February.ThePanelappointedbythe
President usedtheColloquiumasa methodof engagementbefore
finalising theirreportforsubmissiontotheDeputy-President’soffice.
WRSA attendeda NorthWestBiodiversity/Wildlifesectormeeting
with MEC DesboMohondo.TheMECarrangedthemeetingto
source ideasandrecommendationstoshapetheindustryfor
the benefit ofbothconservationandtheeconomicgrowthof
the province.
