Bird bummer!
Slobber sitch!
After a half-day at school, my friend
Shayla invited me over to meet her
new dog and watch a movie. We sat at
the kitchen table with our sandwiches,
talking for a few minutes when my
stomach rumbled. I hadn’t taken a
bite of my PB&J yet, so I picked up
my sandwich and took a big one
without looking. That’s when I tasted
something wet. I looked down and
realized there was dog slobber on my
meal! Shayla’s dog had taken a
bite of it while I was talking. It

My aunt and cousin brought me along
on a trip to the pet store last week.
They were looking at treats for their
hamster while I went to play with the
parrots. I kept asking one, “Polly want
a cracker?” but the bird wouldn’t even
look at me. So I started poking its
cage, and suddenly the door popped
right open. That definitely got the
bird’s attention. It flew right out of
the opening! My aunt was so mad.
She made me stay until I’d
helped the store workers get
