Purpose

1 Ethernet workstation (^)
The ethernet_wkstn node model
represents a workstation with client-
server applications running over
TCP/IP and UDP/IP. The
workstation supports oneunderlying
Ethernet connection at 10Mbps, 100
Mbps, or 1000 Mbps.
2 Ethernet Server
Represents a server node with server
applications running over TCP/IP or
UDP/IP. This node supports one
underlying Ethernet connection at
(10, 100) Mbps or 1Gbps. The
operational speed is determined by
the connected link's data rate.
3 Ethernet16_switch
The ethernet16_switch node model
represents a switch supporting up to
16 Ethernet interfaces. The switch
implements the Spanning Tree
algorithmin order to ensure a loop
freenetwork topology.

Application
Configuration
Can be used to specify "Application
specification ":Specifies applications
using available applicationtypes. It
can Specify a name and
correspondingdescription in the
process of creating newapplications.
The specified application name will
be usedwhile creating user profiles
on the "ProfileConfig" object.
(^5) ConfigurationProfile^
Can be used to create user profiles.
These userprofiles can then be
specified on different nodesin the
network to generate application
layertraffic. The applications defined
in the"Application Config" objects
are used by thisobject to configure
profiles. Therefore, we mustcreate
applications using "Application
Config"object before using this
object.
(^6) conEthernetnection^ Duplex link represent an Ethernet connection operating at 1Gbps (or
1000 Mbps).
