- 4 Performance Metrics:
The performance metrics used to measure the performance of the
routing protocol are: - FTP Response time – The time elapsed between sending a file
and receiving the response. The response time for responses sent
from the server to an FTP application is included in this statistic
in second(sec). - Route Discovery time– This statistic represents the time to
discover a route to a specific destination and is measured in
second (sec). - Total Packet dropped – When no route is found to the destination
or the next hop reachability confirmation is not received after the
maximum number of attempts is reached, the node drops the
packets queued to the destination. This statistic represents the
total number of application packets discarded by this node. - Routing traffic sent –The amount of routing traffic sent of DSR
routing protocol in bits/sec. - Total Routing traffic sent – The total amount of DSR routing
protocol traffic sent (control + data) in bits/sec. - Routing traffic received–The amount of routing traffic received
in bits/sec. - Total Routing traffic received– The total amount of traffic
received (control + data) in bits/sec. - WirelessLAN.Data Dropped (retry threshold exceeded)–the
higher layer data traffic (in bits/sec) dropped by the WLAN
MAC due to consistently failing retransmissions. This statistic
reports the number of the higher layer packets that are dropped
because the MAC couldnot receive any acknowledges (ACKs)
for the (re)transmissions of those packets or their fragments, and
