Canon has given the 250D Bluetooth and Wi-

Fi connectivity to enable it to pair easily with

smartphones and tablets using the free Canon

Camera Connect app for iOS and Android

devices. As well as enabling video and stills

to be transferred wireless to a smartphone

or tablet for reviewing or sharing, the app

enables remote control of the camera. That’s

useful for families looking to capture hands-

free selfies or group shots, but it’s also handy

if you want to shoot from a hard-to-access

location and view the scene, adjust the

camera settings and fire the shutter. Using

Bluetooth enables a constant connection, so

there’s no need to reconnect each time you

want to access your camera via the paired

smart device and, thanks to the Automatic

Image Transfer function, images can be sent

automatically immediately after capture.
