Everyone gets that it’s
cool to recycle, but
would you expect a dog
to know that? Tubby
the Labrador retriever
holds the record for
the most bottles
recycled by a dog.
Tubby collected more
than 26,000 plastic
bottles, crushing them
with his teeth before
handing them over to
his owner for recycling.
Why? The pooch
preferred fetching
bottles over sticks
during his walks. Tubby
wasn’t just yellow—he
was also green!

This is one weird-looking sea creature.
Pedaling 218 feet below the ocean’s
surface, Vittorio Innocente of Italy holds
the record for the deepest underwater
bicycle ride. First, Innocente mounted
his special water-adapted mountain
bike. (The tires are filled with water
and the rims are fitted with fins.) Then
he pedaled the length of about three
soccer fields—no bike helmet needed.
