Monomial
A monomial is simply any expression that consists of just
one term. When monomials are put together in a string to
form an expression with more than one term, the expression
is then called a polynomial. See alsoPOLYNOMIALin this
appendix for more information.
Here are some examples of monomials:

Numbers
Composite numbers
Any number divisible by itself and 1, plus at least one additional positive integer.
