Distributive PropertyFor any REAL NUMBERsa, b,and c,the SUMof two
numbers times a third is equal to the sum of each number times the
third; written as a(b+c) =ab+acor (a+b)c=ac+bc.

dividendAny number that is to be divided by another number. For example,
in 4 ÷2, 4 is the dividend, in 15 ÷ 3, 15 is the dividend, in^1 – 2 , 2is the
dividend, in –^78 , 8is the dividend, and so on. The number that divides
the dividend is the DIVISOR.
divisor The number that divides the DIVIDEND. For example, in 4 ÷ 2, 2 is the
divisor.
