  1. (C) Carbon dioxide is the ultimate result of perfect combustion of any
    carbon-based fuel. The only ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions are to
    make vehicles more fuel efficient and/or drive less, to use a noncarbon fuel
    such as hydrogen, or to use a green fuel such as ethanol that is produced
    from crops that absorb carbon dioxide as they grow.
