  1. (D) The boiling point of a crude oil component or fraction, which is the
    temperature at which it evaporates, is dependent on the length of the carbon
    chain in the molecule. Those fractions with shorter chains (such as gasoline)
    evaporate more easily than those with longer chains (such as waxes).
