158 Multiplication and Division Concepts

Successful Strategies
Some students struggle with fact families. One of the ways
to help these students is to go back to the repeated addition
and repeated subtraction concepts. Focusing on the “groups”
encourages students to think about the related multiplication
and division facts. Additionally, help students to see why
squares produce identical facts.
