Fishy Facts

A game designed to build the concept of

multiplication zand division fact families

Materials:

Q^ Fishy Facts resource pages, scissors

Q^ Bowl

Directions:

1. Cut out fi sh and place in a bowl.


2. One player reaches into the bowl and pulls out one fi sh.
   The player displays the fi sh to other players.


3. When displaying a fi sh, the player holds the fi sh by the tail or one
   of the fi ns to cover up one of the numbers in the fact family.


4. The fi rst player to correctly identify the covered number has an
   opportunity to earn the fi sh by naming all four facts in the fact
   family.


5. Players take turns displaying fi sh, identifying covered numbers,
   and naming facts in fact families.


6. The winner is the player with the most fi sh after all (or a
   specifi ed number) of the fi sh are displayed.

Content Differentiation:

Moving Back: Use selected fi sh (2s, 5s, 10s).

Moving Ahead: Use the blank fi sh to make different fact

families.
