Joining Sets 1
12 students are playing on the playground at Kayla’s school.
Some students are on the swings. Some students are on the
slide. Some students are jumping rope. Some students are
playing soccer.

Part A
Write 4 different equations that could represent the
12 students playing on the playground.

Part B
Use an equation or table to represent the 12 students on the
playground if twice as many students are on the swings
as are on the slide, and the same number of students are
jumping rope as are playing soccer.
