On Tuesday, the hungry frog ate 3 fl ies. On Wednesday, the
hungry frog ate 4 fl ies. On Thursday, the hungry frog ate
6 fl ies. On Friday, the hungry frog ate 2 fl ies. On Saturday, the
hungry frog ate 5 fl ies. On Sunday, the hungry frog ate 1 fl y.


Part A


Write an equation to represent how many fl ies were left after
the hungry frog ate on Tuesday.


Write an equation to represent how many fl ies were left after
the hungry frog ate on Friday.


Part B


If the hungry frog eats half as many fl ies the next week, how
many fl ies will be left?


Justify your answer with one or more equations.
