On Tuesday, the hungry frog ate 4 fl ies. On Wednesday, the
hungry frog ate 3 fl ies. On Thursday, the hungry frog ate
5 fl ies. On Friday, the hungry frog ate 2 fl ies. On Saturday, the
hungry frog ate 4 fl ies. On Sunday, the hungry frog ate 2 fl ies.

Part A
Write an equation to represent how many fl ies were left after
the hungry frog ate on Wednesday.

Write an equation to represent how many fl ies were left after
the hungry frog ate on Saturday.

Part B
If the hungry frog eats the same amount of fl ies the next
week, how many fl ies will be left?
Justify your answer with one or more equations.
