Funny Bunny

A game designed to build the concept

of addition and subtraction fact families

Materials:

Q^ Funny Bunny Resource Pages

Q^ Straws

Q^ Tape

Directions:

1. Cut out bunnies and tape each bunny on a straw.


2. Place all bunny puppets face down on the table.


3. The fi rst player chooses a bunny and folds back one of
   the bunny’s ears.


4. The other player names the hidden number on the
   bunny’s ear. The player receives one point for each fact
   in the fact family that is named correctly.


5. Players take turns choosing bunnies, folding ears, and
   naming the facts in the fact family.


6. The fi rst player to reach 20 or more points is the
   winner.

Content Differentiation :

Moving Back : Look at the bunny with both ears up and

name the facts in the fact family.

Moving Ahead : Use the blank bunnies to make different

fact families.
