After the surrender of the Germanfleet in 1918 and its internment inScapa Flow, over 50 ships werescuttled by the German crews onJune 21, 1919, to prevent themfalling into British hands.

Midges have the fastest wing-beatof any insect, and are able to flaptheir wings at around 20,000 beatsper minute.

The Giant’s Causeway comprisesapproximately 37,000 interlockingdark basalt polygonal columns;they were formed by volcanicactivity some 55 millionyears ago.
