STEP 13: Proofreading—Checking Final Details


The final draft complete, proofread carefully. Check for errors of grammar, mechan-
ics, and usage. [See Part IV for rules and examples.]


Check and recheck statistics. Have you miscopied any figures or made mistakes typ-
ing the visual aids? Does the information in the text agree with the latter?


Finally, read the entire report as if you were its intended audience. Make final revisions.
