muscular tissue Tissue that is composed of cells that have filaments that move past each
other and change the size of the cell. There are three types of muscle tissue: smooth
muscle, skeletal muscle, and cardiac muscle.
nervous tissue Composed of nerve cells and related cells.
organ A structure made of two or more tissues that work together.
organ system A group of organs that work together.
tissue SA group of cells that work together for a common purpose.
