is widely regarded as

the best of his career.

Humblebums with

singing Stuck in the

Middle with You in

Stealers Wheel before

those superb solo

tracks such as Night

Owl and, of course,

Baker Street. Then the

boozing led to a long

(ultimately fatal)

Gerry Rafferty:
