of a right triangle? Remember, you want to work with the basics, and you know your triangles, so let’s
turn this thing into a right triangle.
Draw in the sides and find the lengths of those sides. To find the base of the triangle, figure out how much
you’re moving from one x-coordinate to the other. The points are (−3,−4) and (2,5), so the x-coordinate
will go from −3 to 2, or 5 units. The y-coordinate will go from −4 to 5, or 9 units. After you’ve drawn all
this in and marked up your figure, you should have something like this:
