SIGNATURE STYLE
Many fighte rs dis tinguish the mselves from their peers
by ado pt ing and perfecting a pa r ticula r style or method
of waging combat. Although this style m ight be a na tural
outg rowth of a fighter's personality, t hat's not a lways t he
case-someone's approach to the world in gene ra l does
not necessarily dic ta te how t hat pe rson operates w he n
lives a re on the line.

SIGNATURE STYLES

Elegant. You move wit h precise g race and total
control, never using mo re energy than you need.

Martial Archetypes
At 3rd level, a fighter gains the Ma rtia l Arc he type fea-
ture. The following options are availa ble to a fighte r, i n
addition to those offere d in the Player 's H andbook : the
Arcane Archer, the Cavalie r, and the S amurai.
Arcane Archer
An Arcane Arche r s tudies a unique elven method of
a rche ry tha t weaves magic into attacks to produce s u-
pernatura l effects. Arcane Arche rs are som e of the most
e lite warrio rs among the elves. They stand watch over
the fringes of e lven dom a ins, keeping a keen eye out for
trespassers and using m a gic-infused arrows to de feat
monsters and invade rs be fore they can reach e lven set-
tle ments. Over the centuries, the methods of these e lf
a rchers have been learne d by m embers o f other races
w ho can a ls o ba lance a rcane aptitude with a rche ry.

ARCANE ARC HER LORE
At 3 rd le ve l, you learn magical theory o r some of the
secrets of nature-typical for practitione rs of this elven
ma rtia l tra dition. Yo u c hoose to gain profic ie ncy in ei-
ther the Arcana or the Nature skill, and you choose to
learn e ithe r the prestidigitation o r t he druidcra ft cantrip.
ARCANE SHOT
At 3rd level, you learn to unleash s pecia l magical effects
w ith some of your s hots. Whe n you gain this feature , you
learn two Arcane S hot options of your choice (see "Ar-
cane Shot Options" be low).
Once per turn whe n you fir e a magic arrow from a
s h ortbow or lo ngbow as pa r t of th e Attack action, you
can apply one of you r Arcane Shot options to tha t a r-
row. Yo u decide to use the optio n when the arrow h its
a creature, unless the option doesn't involve an a ttack
roll. You have two uses of this ability, and you regain all
expended uses of it w he n you finish a short or l o ng rest.
You gain an additiona l Arcane Shot opt ion of your
choice w he n you reach certain levels in this class: 7t h,
10th, 1 5th, a nd 1 8th level. Each opt ion a lso improves
when you become a n 1 8 th-level fig hter.
MAGIC ARROW
At 7th level, you gain t he ability to infuse arrows with
magic. Whe never you fire a nonmagical a rrow from a
s hor tbow or longbow, you ca n make it magical for the
pur pose of ove rcoming resistance and immunity to non-
magical a ttacks and da m age. T he magic fades from the
a r row imme diately after i t hits or m isses its target.
CURVING SHOT
At 7th level, you learn how to direct a n errant arrow
toward a new ta rget. Whe n you ma ke an attack roll w ith
a magic ar row a nd miss, you can use a bonus acti on to
r eroll the a ttac k roll agains t a diffe re nt target w it hin 6 0
feet of the origina l ta rget.
E VER-REA DY S HOT
S tarting at 1 5th level, you r magical a rche ry is availa ble
w he never ba ttle sta rts. If you roll in itia ti ve and have no
uses of Arcane Shot r e m a in ing, you regain one use of it.
ARCANE S HOT 0PT10N S
The Arcan e Shot feature lets you c hoose options for it at
cer ta in levels. T he options are presented here in a lpha-
betical o rder. They ar e all magical effects, and each one
is associated w ith one of t he schools of magic.
