Travel and Climate
travelandclimate.org
The ne wsworthiness of climate change
has ledto a gr owing consciousness of
the impact of travel on the environment.
If you’re concerned, visit this site and
enteryour journey detailsto get an idea
of your climate footprint. The design is
a bit clumsy –you’re likelyto go straight
to the large blue button since it’s not
immediately apparent thatyou needto
click and fill in the details in the sentence
above it – but from that point, you simply
select transport and accommodationto
get acomparative impact, along with
how much Arctic icecould be melted
by your trip.

Find My Street
Crea ted to support the DeregulationAct
(2015), this site helpsyou identify public
rights ofway, unadoptedroads and,for
the most part, those managedby local
authorities, soyou can find out who is
responsiblefor their upkeep.The process
is a bit fiddly:start by searchingfor a
local authority and address, andyou’re
presented with anexplanation.You then
have to click the Map tabto get started
and select Search, which isn’t particularly
intuitive. If you can’t find astreet, there’s
a good chance it’s not listed, in which
case you can click MissingStreets to
notify therelevant contact.
OK! Magazine
http://www.ok.co.uk
If you need a fix ofcelebrity news and
gossip, thenOK!magazine is an essential
read, but ifyou’ve onlyever wanted to
gawpat the photos,you’re now better
served thanever because thewebsite’ s
makeover has gone big on images. Not
only does there appearto be more of
them, thanksto the new layout, but they
dominate the homepage and articles.
What’s more, each photo loads more
quickly and galleries only take upa
single page. Having videos autoplay and
follow you around the page is incredibly
annoying, but it’s good that the site now
works well on any screen size.
