that Zoho also offers a
range of grea t online tools
for creating documents
and office files of various
types – with Zoho Show
being the company’s latest
offeri ng.
It’s a presentation tool,
similar to PowerPoi nt or
Slides, that provides a
quick and easy way to
knock up professional-
looking presentations whil e you’re on the go.
Zoho Show is intuitive to use – see our Mini Worksh op,
right, to get started in se conds. But it’s also surprisingly
feature-packed. There’s a range of pre-designed templates
to choose from, all of which can be refinedby adding your
own text, images , graphics and so on. On-screen elements
can be animated for an extra wowfactor, and there are
more than 30differen t transitions to choose from.
Your finished presentations can be saved as PDF files
or as images , or, if you have a
Zoho account, you can stor e
your projects in the cloud and
sync them between devices,
or invite others to collaborate
on them online.
Perh aps the cleverest thing
about Zoho Show for Android,
however, is that it suppor ts
Chromecast, which means that
you can cast your slid eshows
wirelessly to any Chromecast-
ready TV or device. Users of the
iOS version get the similar
ability to cast from the app to
an Apple TV or AirPlay device.
You can even import existing
presentations – including
Microsoft PowerPoi nt PPTX
files – from
Dropbox or Google Drive – and use Zoho Show
to cast them. While casting, your mobile
device effe ctively turns into a remote for

and press the ‘+ Create’
button, then tap Untitled
Presentation.^1 Type
a namefor your
presentation, then select
a theme from the
thumbnails below.^2 Once
you’re ready, press the tick
icon.^3 If this isyour first
time usingZoho Show,
you’ll see some hints and
tips for using the app.
Keep tapping Nextto work
your way through them.2
Eventually,you’ll seea
default title slide –you
can double-tap any of the
sampletext here^1 to
change itto your own text,
then press the tick icon
whenyou’ve finished.
Single-tap thetext to
format, cut,copy, pas te or
delete it.^2 To add another
slide, tap the square with
a plus sign icon^3 and
choose one of the slide
styles from the thumbnails
displayed.3
To add an image,text
box, shape or chartto
a slide, select an empty
box,^1 then tap the plus
sign.^2 On this Insert
screen, press the tabat the
bottom thatcorresponds
to the type of elementyou
want to add (‘Text box’,
Shape, Media, Chart), then
browse for the elementyou
want. To insert a photo, for
example, tap Media, then
From Device, then select
