focal range without too many lenses, which

East Anglia is no small space; it’s not
uncommon for Justin to drive more than two
hours from Suffolk at 2am to reach north
Norfolk for its summer ocean-side sunrise.
The region comprises Norfolk, The Broads
National Park, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and
Essex and there’s so much diversity in these
spaces that, like Justin, once you begin
exploring you may find yourself not needing
to go anywhere else! “East Anglia has long
been a special place. Its big skies that it’s
known for have attracted artists for
centuries; the landscapes that inspired
John Constable have remained much the
same for the last 200 years and continue to
inspire photographers,” says Justin.
Bordered to the north and east by more
than 150 miles of coastline, it’s not surprising
that much of Justin’s book focuses on the
lengths of dune-lined sandy beaches, salt
marshes and quirky seaside towns within
easy reach. Of all the places highlighted,
Thornham on the north Norfolk coast seems
a true gem. An old harbour tucked away with
a few old boats, Justin says it's a wonderful
place to photograph at any time of day as it’s
so open that it gets bathed in light at both
sunrise and sunset. It’s one of those places
that sounds phenomenal as very few people
know about it and at low tide there’s
practically no water, but at high tide the
harbourfloods.“Anyonewho’severbeento
