NOTE: (1) 阿姨 āyí is a form of address used by a child for a woman about his/her mother’s age. It is also
common to put a family name before 阿姨 āyí, e.g. 张阿姨 Zhāng āyí. (2) 阿姨 āyí is also used by adults and
children for domestic helpers and female nursery staff.
