DEVKARIN LICH


Powerful spellcasters of the Devka rin elves, steeped in
Golgari magic, can transcend death to become liches.
For them, life and death don't merely chase each other
in an inevitable cycle; the two can intersect, and at that
nexus the liches find immense power, which commands
the awe, envy, and fear of other Golgari.
Unlike the shambling zombies they command, liches
retain their memor ies, their personalities, and espe-
cially t heir ambition. They also retain the grace and
stature of living elves, but their bodies are in a constant
state of slow decay. Various forms of fungus grow in
and over the rotting flesh to hold the body together.
Undead Nature. The lich doesn't require air,
food, dri nk, o r sleep.

Storrev

Storrev is a lich and a leader of the Erstwhile. She is adept
at the politics o f cou rt, and she is feared fo r her power to
t ransform dead m onsters, from o rdi nary beetles to the
mightiest wurms, into fierce undead horrors. Such c rea-
tures a cco m pany he r into battle.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the lich fails a saving throw, it
can choose to succeed instead.

Regeneration. The lich regains 10 hit poi nts at the s tart of its
turn. If the lich take s fire or radiant d am a ge , this trait doesn't
func tio n at t h e start of the lich's next t u rn. The lich d ies only if
it sta rts its t urn with 0 h it points and doesn't regenerate.
Spellcasting. The lic h is a 14th-level Golgari spellcaster.
Its spellcasting abilit y is Intelligence (s pell save DC 17, + 9
to hit wit h spell attacks). The lich has t he following wizard
spells prepare d :

Turn Resistance. The lich h as advantage on saving t hrows
against any e ffect t hat turns undead.
Undead Fortitude. If dam a ge reduces the lic h to 0 h it points ,
it must make a Constit ut ion saving throw with a DC of 5 + t he
damage take n , unles s the damage is radiant o r from a c ritical
hit. O n a succes s, the lic h d ro p s to l hit point instead.

ACTIONS
Noxious Touch. Melee Spell Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., o ne
creature. Hit: 14 (4d6) poison damage, and the target must
succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned
for l minute. The poisoned target can repeat the saving throw
at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on
a success.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS
The lich can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the op·
tions below. Only one legend ary action option can be used at
a time a nd only at the end of another creature's turn. The lich
regains s pent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Cantrip. The lich casts o ne o f its cantrips.
Noxious Touch (Costs 2 Actions). The lich uses Noxious Touch.
Disrupt Life (Costs 3 Actions). Each creature within 30 feet of
the lich must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, taking
21 (6d6) necro tic damage on a failed save, or half as much
damage on a successful one. ., z
