Shipwreck At La Madrague De Giens, off the south coast of France, near Toulon (first century B.C.).
The wreck is shown in the course of excavation, and most of the cargo of amphorae and Campanian
pottery has been removed, exposing the timbers of the hull. The amphorae are of Italian origin, and the
majority bear the stamps of a producer based near the Lake of Fondi, home of the famous Caecuban
