2 nd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP
The record number of 350 participants, representing 52
Universities from 13 countries took part at the second edi-
tion of the European University Rowing Championship. The
championship took place in Brive La Gaillarde, France, from
September 1 to 2, 2006. The championship took place at the
CSN Brive facilities on the Albano-Bouyed racing course. The
overall standard in most events was high and competition for
medals was excellent. Universities from twelve nations won
medals, with eight nations winning gold. The overall medals
table placed the United Kingdom on the top with 13 medals
from 20 university boats entering, winning four gold, five
silver and four bronze medals. Champions became:Men
