The Sports Association of the University of Ljubljana is an
independent and non-profit sports organization that oper-
ates on the principles of voluntary, non-profit, equality of
its faculties, public works and fair-play. It has over 20 years
of history, with a long tradition in competitive sports and
is a member of the Slovenian University Sports Association
(SUSA). The principal activity of Sports Association of the
University of Ljubljana is the organization of competitive
sports programs for the students of the University of Lju-
bljana. Its role is also the preparation and execution of the
selection, preparation and participation of student athletes
and student sports teams at national, European and other
international championships and other student sports com-
petitions. The Associations goal is to help create an academic
environment in which the sports activity is one of the im-
portant mechanisms that will maintain and strengthen the
health of everyone involved, encourage the development of
social skills of individuals and contribute to strengthening
the academic, cultural and social environment.

According to the EUSA ranking, based on the participation and success
on the events, the University of Ljubljana was awarded as the Best
University in the short EUSA history.
