5 th EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES BADMINTON
CHAMPIONSHIP
The 5th EUSA Badminton Championship was held in Krakow,
Poland in 2008. 110 participants from 14 Universities and 10
countries enjoyed the playing facilities of a very high stand-
ard, as well as a cultural programme which enabled competi-
tors to visit the world heritage sites of Poland. The champi-
onship was of a very high standard with a number of athletes
taking part fresh from the Beijing Olympics. The Academy of
Humanities and Economics Lodz was represented by world
class players, of whom four were Olympians, and one had a
world ranking of 12 in men’s singles. In the domination of
the students from the host country the European Universities
Champions became:
